I have just launched Sheesha.pk. Sheesha.pk is a social microblogging service which allows you to post notices/updates about yourself and share it with friends (just like twitter). However, you can also create and join groups which would allow you to talk to the people of a particular interest. Not only that, it also allows you to export your data in RSS or ATOM format. All that and more absolutely FREE!!!
I have also planned twitter integration for sheesha so you would be able to post directly to twitter and recieve updates from twitter account without leaving the sheesha. Sounds interesting ? I have also plans to integrate it with other popular social networks like Facebook and orkut.
Why the word Sheesha?
Sheesha is a modern form of Huqa. Nowadays young people love to gather for sheesha and discuss various issues. The same way sheesha.pk allows you to share your ideas and status with the rest.
How do I get started?
First, register a new account. Then, on the public timeline, enter your message into the textbox at the top of the page, and click "Send". It will go out on the public timeline and to anyone who is subscribed to your notices. You may want to see the help section for using the service.
Spread the word and watch this space for future updates.
